58 Democrats Now in the Senate
With Alaskan Sen. Ted Stevens losing to Anchorage Mayor Mark Begich, the democrats are now two seats away from a filibuster proof senate. Keep in mind now, that number includes two Independents who normally vote with the Democrats.
There were not even 3,000 votes difference between the two.
Sen. Ted Stevens 143,912 46.76%
Mayor Mark Begich 146,286 47.56%
There could be a recount called, but no word on that yet.
This makes Sen. Saxby Chambliss’s run off in Georgia even more important. It is absolutely critical that anyone who can afford to support Sen. Chambliss do so. It doesn’t matter what state you are from, we need to support all true conservatives during this tough time for our great country.
If we do not start taking our country back, and reaffirming our country’s founding principles, I’m afraid that our children will pay the price, and possibly their children as well.
